CardioTrainer v3.1: Updated Music Integration, Workout History Redesign and New Exercise Types
Thursday, November 18th, 2010A new version of CardioTrainer is available on the Market, and this update features some new redesigns of CardioTrainer’s essential features. Read on for the details!
Redesigned Workout History
Your workout history is a great way to see your progress over time and look back over your previous exercise activity. We’ve introduced two important features to help you review all of your hard work: filtering and monthly statistics. When you click on the button to the right of the green “Add Workout” button, you can filter your workout history to only show a single type of exercise in the list. We have also placed headers at the beginning of each month that show the total distance and total number of calories burned in that month. At the very top of your workout list, you’ll also see your overall totals for your entire workout history. We hope that these improvements help you look back and make easy to chart your progress!

New Music integration Design
CardioTrainer’s new music integration interface makes it really easy to choose the music you want to listen to before you start working out, and control it while you’re exercising. Right after you click on the “Start Workout” button, you can tap or drag the music note to the left to reveal the music controls. You can select a playlist, turn shuffle on/off, or disable music playback. When the workout starts, a song from your playlist will play automatically and display the song title. If you turn off music integration, the music controls will disappear as soon as you start the workout.
To open the music integration controls, click on the music note. You can set your options, and the music will automatically start playing when you start your workout.

Many users have also been requesting new exercise types, and we’re happy to have added the following have been added to the list:
- boxing

- mountain biking
